Belbin questionnaire - Team Roles Report

The Belbin Team Role Report is a self-perception questionnaire for individuals to help them understand their preferred work behaviours and their preferred role or roles within a team. It identifies work behaviours, behavioural strengths and weaknesses in the workplace and the individual’s preferred role within a team. It is based on Meredith Belbin’s work on studying teams at Henley Management College in the 1970's which was conducted along scientific lines. However, Belbin appreciated that the questionnaire was not devised as a psychometric instrument. Therefore, the report should only be used for team building and development. Some organisations use it in selection.

As it was never designed as a psychometric instrument, we do NOT recommend that it is used to support selection.
