FIRO-B Report
The FIRO-B Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation Tool is provided to you under supervision from professionally trained and experienced practitioners. The FIRO-B is based on a theory of human interaction by William Schutz in 1958 where he proposed that all human interaction can be divided into three categories: inclusion, control and affection. Through FIRO-B he provided a powerful tool that helps explain how interpersonal needs affect behaviours and relationships. It can provide an individual with a deeper understanding of their own behaviours and the impact of others behaviours on them. Through the report and the consultation, the individual is supported with how they can increase the effectiveness of their behaviours towards others, enhance their satisfaction in relationships and their work, and explore alternative ways of achieving their goals. The service includes 45 minutes of telephone consultation and feedback to get the most out of the report. Note that FIRO-B is a development tool and we do not recommend that you use it for selection. If you have a selection requirement please contact us to discuss your needs. For team development, Quest Partnership can provide professional support to run team development workshops. Our workshops are highly interactive and focus delegates on understanding the vital link between their own personality and delivering work performance. The focus is on harnessing team learning tools and moving individuals towards an actionable Development Plan. There are options to include other instruments e.g. MBTI®, Belbin® questionnaires to support team building in a full day workshop. We can adapt the service to meet your specific needs.
