CEB-SHL Executive Scenarios test - report to support the recruitment of senior managers


The test assesses senior managerial judgement and supports the recruitment and development of senior managers and executives. It comprises 12 senior management situations (or scenarios). For each situation there will be responses provided to deal with the situation. The individual rates each response according to the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of that response.


Scenarios is a test of managerial judgement, measuring an individual’s ability to weigh up real life senior management situations by rating the effectiveness of actions and is a powerful tool to support recruitment, development, and coaching. The narrative Executive Report provides a profile of results i.e. the overall managerial judgement score and three sub-test scores, and six elements. The report describes the performance level for all the sub-scales and provides powerful specific feedback and development tips based on the individual’s responses. There are also more general development advice for each of the scales. Candidates can be compared against either a composite group of senior managers, or a group of high potential senior managers and directors.
